The first season of the TV show Kundali Bhagya is about two sisters, Preeta and Srishti. They lived in a small village with their dad. Their mom left them when they were little. After their dad passed away, they wanted to locate their mom and reunite with her. They started searching for her in Bombay. Dr Preeta was asked to help the grandma in the Luthra family. Karan, the little boy, started to enjoy her company. They have feelings for each other, and their oldest child, Rishabh, works with Preeta. Karan and Preeja liked each other a lot, but they didn’t tell anyone. In the end, they became really good friends.
In the present episode, Rajveer said that he helped Nidhi Luthra and Karan Luthra to get married, so everything that is happening now is because of him. Preeta said she saw Karan crying for his wife, and she asked Rajveer if he saw Karan crying too. She is confused because Rajveer thinks Karan is pretending to be someone he’s not, and she’s glad her mother doesn’t remember anything because it would hurt her to see Karan crying for another woman. Preeta wants Rajveer to talk to Shaurya because she couldn’t do it herself. She thinks Rajveer can handle Shaurya because they are the same age. Preeta begs Rajveer to help her, but he says no. She asks if he won’t listen to her at all, and he finally agrees.
Karan thanks Rajveer for coming and Rajveer asks where Karan’s wife is. Karan says that sometimes people go through tough times and his wife might be going through that. Rajveer’s aunt mentioned that Karan loves his wife a lot and is emotional for her. After Rajveer leaves, Karan realizes that he loves his wife Preeta a lot but their relationship is strained and it will take time to fix it.
Rajveer sees Shaurya crying and sits next to him. He tells Shaurya that a mother is very special and can do anything for her child. He also reassures Shaurya that his mother will be okay. Rajveer tries to comfort Shaurya as he keeps crying. It makes Rajveer emotional too.

The police inspector takes Karan into custody at the hospital. His family is very surprised and upset.
